Our Pitch

For this project we will hope to achieve a high standard music video with use of the song, ‘Warriors Dance’ by The Prodigy, we wanted to do this style of music because we found it easier to stick to a younger target audience, which would make it easier to produce our own ideas and own experiences. In this music video we will include elements of a teenage party. Using fast cuts and mainly handheld camera’s to get drunken and bouncy effect of the party. Our aim in this video is to, at the beginning show the 7 main characters walking to the party and at the party we will individually show these characters ad their different actions throughout the night. The main character, which is Zack, will be shown both getting ready for the party and coming away from the party, we have planned to use another friends house for him to just quickly get ready and leave.. We will try to show as many different elements as possible, whilst trying to stick to the Electronica conventions. There will be alcohol and drugs shown however, due to age restrictions it will not be actual alcohol or drugs, just basically liquid in a can and we will only pretend to take ecstasy pills which will probably be vitamins or paracetamol. It will be filmed in a friend’s house and some of it in planned areas of Easington. We will ensure safety throughout and make sure we get the final shots to our highest ability. The target audience for my video is young teens, ages of 16-20+. In order to attract this audience we will need to entail realistic events within this video. We will tell the cast of our video what to do but try and get them to be normal and act like they would at a normal party. As we were able to get research before out planning of the video we are able to understand what the characters show wear and how they should act. The use of handheld cameras will allow the audience to feel although they are at the party themselves therefore getting them interested in the video. We decided to stick to this age range, as they will be able to relate to this as oppose to the older audience who tend to be disgusted or look down on teens that perform these actions.
